Welcome to the TOGETHER WE WILL—HARFORD COUNTY/UPPER CHESAPEAKE Blog!  We are excited about the opportunities this group offers residents of this area to work together for the benefit of our neighbors, our friends and our families to promote and advocate for social justice.  We know that what we have in common is much greater than our differences, but sometimes we need to be reminded of that!

Our blog will be an avenue to raise awareness and invite thoughtful discussion on issues of social justice, current events, and actions that we can take.  Our group was born out of distress over the election results but we are not here to “whine”, to call names or disparage.  We are here to hold our elected officials, ourselves and our community accountable for our words, as words have power.  To hold us all accountable for our actions, as our actions can damage the progress we have made on human rights and to bring awareness that the progress we have made is not enough.

One paramount criteria is the importance of accuracy and factualness.  We must speak truth and not be swayed or entranced by the catchy headline that speaks to our beliefs or enrages us.   Read more about our Truthfulness Pledge & Moderating Guidelines.
